The tenth anniversary of Montenegrin independence was marked in Rozaje

The citizens of the Rožaj municipality made a significant contribution to the restoration of independence.

The president of the municipality, Ejup Nurković, in an appropriate address, said that the numerous presence of representatives of the political, economic and religious life of the municipality shows harmony and unity, as was the case ten years ago when the citizens of Rožaj came out and supported the project of an independent Montenegro in a large percentage.

- The citizens of Rožaj made a selfless contribution, i.e. with over 93 percent, they supported the project of an independent Montenegro - said President Nurković.

Support for the restoration of the independence of one's country speaks of the maturity of the people and the environment, which recognized the importance and value of that project.

- That percentage shows that we are a mature people. It is no small thing to contribute to the creation of your country and to be with that project at a historically very important moment. Gratitude belongs to all citizens, regardless of political, religious or any other affiliation, said Nurković.

The President told the young generations to follow that example when it comes to important projects for Montenegro.

-I want from this place and today, when we are celebrating one of the most important dates in Montenegrin history, to tell the current and future generations to be the bearers of the overall development of their country and this municipality and to support all the good projects that place Montenegro in the developed democratic countries of Europe and the world- said the first man of the Municipality at the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the restoration of Montenegrin independence.
