Husović presented annual awards to the best athletes and sports organizations

The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, traditionally handed out annual awards and cash prizes to athletes, sports workers and sports organizations.

Kickboxer Škrijelj Nermina was declared the sportswoman of the year. The award for young promising athlete was presented to soccer player Ilhan Hodžić. Judo club "Ibar" is the sports team of the year, and Elvis Mele Camić received recognition for the best coach in 2022.

The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, said that Rožaj athletes are the best ambassadors of their city, and that he is very proud of their successes.

"The youth of Roža has exceptional sports potential, which as a community we must highlight in the right way. I am pleased by the fact that our athletes achieve significant success on the domestic and foreign sports scene, and that some of them have built serious careers.", he said Husovic.

He also referred to the planned improvement of the local sports infrastructure.

"In cooperation with the Football Association of Montenegro, we will build auxiliary facilities at the Banžovo brdo stadium and adapt that area in accordance with the needs imposed by modern standards. In the budget, we provided certain funds for athletes and sports organizations. We will work to create conditions for much larger investments in that sphere. The local administration will actively encourage the sports achievements of our youth", the President pointed out.

Husović congratulated the award winners and wished them success in the coming year as well.
