Municipal police Municipality of Rožaje was founded on 07.05.2007 by the Decision of the Assembly of the Municipality of Rožaje.
The authority of the service is to supervise the implementation of laws that regulate the communal area, that is, the communal order. The main areas of supervision are:
- supervision in water supply,
- removal of waste and storm water,
- control of public cleanliness,
- market maintenance,
- maintenance of green and other public areas,
- transportation, waste disposal,
- maintenance of public lighting,
- maintenance of communal facilities,
- control of traffic signals,
- supervision of local roads,
- supervision of passenger transportation in city and suburban traffic,
- controlling car taxi transport,
- supervision in the construction and installation of temporary facilities,
- monitoring of working hours,
- control of catering facilities in terms of noise,
- supervision in the maintenance of residential and commercial buildings,
- supervision over the use of state and municipal symbols,
- and other jobs in the field of communal activities.
