The success of Rozaj judokas in Croatia and Greece

Last weekend was very successful for judokas from Rozaj who registered new points for the European ranking list at the European Cups in Greece and Croatia.

Jusuf Nurković achieved two victories in the junior competition at the European Cup in Athens. In the first round, he defeated the representative of Greece, in the second round of Russia, and in the third he was stopped by the representatives of Georgia.

In the rematch, he lost to the representative of Turkey, whom Nurković beat for a medal at the European Cup for seniors in Sarajevo.

"We are satisfied with the new points won and placing in ninth place in an extremely strong competition in which 31 competitors participated," said the coach of the Ibar Judo Club, Omer Nurković.

Edvin Kalač ended his performance at the European Cup in Dubrovnik with a victory over the Pole.

"Kalač defeated a representative of Poland in the first round, in the second round he lost to a representative from Serbia, while in the rematch he lost to a representative from the Czech Republic. "Given that Kalač had a difficult draw, we are satisfied with his performance and the new points he won and placing in ninth place," said Nurković.

At the international judo tournament in Pljevlja, Rožaj young judokas Dileza Dacić, Lejla Hodžić, Refik Bećiragić, Edvin Čivović and Jahja Nurković won gold medals. Dino Kalač won the bronze.

"Next weekend, our judokas will participate in the Montenegrin championship for seniors in Nikšić, where we expect good results," said Nurković.
