An exhibition of paintings by the famous Turkish painter Džemal Akjildiz was held in Rožaje

On December 25, 2014, an exhibition of paintings by the famous Turkish painter Džemal Akjildiz was held in the Gallery of the Culture Center.

Cemal Akjildiz is one of the most important Turkish engraving artists. At a time when this way of drawing is becoming rare, the works of Džemal Akjildiz represent an exceptional value for lovers of this art.

The exhibition was opened by his Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Montenegro, Mehmet Nijazi Tanilir. The exhibition was attended by a delegation from the Municipality of Kutahya, Governor of Kutahya Serif Yilmay, Vice President of the Municipality of Kutahya Galip Gultekin with businessmen, President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, local government officials, coalition partners of the local SDP, officials of public institutions, media representatives and interested citizens.

An exhibition of Turkish paintings creator, visitors and all art lovers in Rožaje were given the opportunity to peek into a different world, a world of different sensibilities, ideas and creations. On this occasion it was possible to see over 50 works from the collection of old tUr houses, museums and sights.

According to those present, his works represent a great wealth for Turkish art, considering the precision of his drawing and unique forms that the Rožaj public has not had the opportunity to see until now.

After the exhibition, a rich cultural program was held in the large hall of the Cultural Center. The delegation from Turkey had the opportunity to see and hear the well-known Rozaj tracks of KUD "Vrelo Ibra" and the performances of famous Rozaj singers.
