Official visit to the Municipality of Tutin

The President of the Municipality of Rožaje Ejup Nurković visited the Municipality of Tutin with his associates, where they were received by the President of the Municipality of Tutin, Mr. Šemsudin Kučević.

This is the first official visit to this municipality since the change of government in Rožaje, and the main topic of the meeting is related to the cross-border and inter-municipal cooperation of these two municipalities.

In his presentation, President Nurković emphasized the need for these two municipalities to work together in the common interest when it comes to finding funds from different funds, to work on as many joint initiatives as possible, especially when it comes to infrastructure, and to should be jointly involved in cooperation with other neighboring municipalities that surround us, such as Sjenica, Novi Pazar, Petnjica, Bijelo Polje, Berane, Plav, Gusinje, Peć and others. The president also mentioned the problem of the temporary landfill in Rožaje and said that they are actively working to solve that problem, because it is a mutual interest.

- President Kučević expressed great satisfaction that he had the opportunity to host representatives of the Municipality of Rožaje. He introduced the delegation of the Municipality of Rožaje to the work of its services and informed them about the introduction of serious reforms in the local administration of Tutin, he supported the initiatives of the Municipality of Rožaje, especially when it comes to cross-border cooperation. He also expressed his support for a border crossing to be built on the part of the municipality of Tutin, which is located towards Pešter, in order to connect this municipality with the municipalities with which it borders in Montenegro.

It was agreed that concrete projects will be jointly developed, namely in the areas of environmental protection, improvement of regional roads, improvement of culture and sports.
