Rozaje was the most successful in the action "Lets do it Montenegro!"

The municipality of Rožaje had the most successful campaign "Lets do it Montenegro!", and as a prize it will receive furniture for the children's playground, announced the Association for Democratic Prosperity - Zid.

"This piece of furniture is a kind of reminder of how much active citizens can contribute to improving living conditions in their community", it was pointed out during today's meeting, which was organized for the coordinators of this action from all over Montenegro.

According to ADP Zid, the lunch was organized as a sign of gratitude to the coordinators, and it was also an opportunity for those who participated in the preparation of the action to get to know each other and exchange experiences.

The criteria for selecting the most active municipality were: Period of organized participation of the municipality in the realization of the action; Cooperation of the civil sector, private sector, municipal institutions and citizens in action; Action promotion (TV and radio, social networks, presentations, etc.); Coordination within the team (different sectors, cooperation, division of duties); Number of private companies that supported the action; The final event and the amount of waste collected and the number of people at the event.

After Rožaj, the most active and successful were the municipalities of Gusinje, Petnjica, Kolašin and Mojkovac.

We remind you that on May 27, the action "Let's do it Montenegro!" was organized in 21 municipalities of Montenegro. About 10,800 volunteer activists participated in the action, while the amount of waste collected was over 1,850m3.

"This is the largest action ever organized in Montenegro, and its goal was not only the removal of illegal waste, but also the encouragement of all Montenegrin citizens, regardless of their age and work, and regardless of origin and different affiliations, to participate more actively in life their community. The action showed that with a small contribution we can make big things real. This was an opportunity to measure the capacities of the civil sector, which, in cooperation with municipalities and local institutions, worked together to solve problems in the communities", said ADP Zid.

The Association for Democratic Prosperity - Zid from Podgorica is the holder of the "Lets Do It!" movement and initiative in Montenegro and, in partnership with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, helped organize and implement this action.

Part of the funds for the action was provided through the "Be Responsible" program, however, "Let's do it!" it is not only the action of ADP-Zida, but of all Montenegrin citizens, that is, of all actors in the local community. The action is based on civic activism and is vectorially directed from the local community to all interested parties.

"The success of the implementation of the action lies in the responsible involvement of individuals, organizations, companies, institutions at the national and local level", concluded the organizers of this action.

The coordinators for the Municipality of Rožaje were: Elvir Klica, Adisa Malagić and Rahman Škrijelj.
