Rožaje is getting a modern building for a new town school

The upcoming construction season will solve numerous problems of citizens of the municipality of Rožaje related to the lack of certain infrastructure facilities. The Directorate of Public Works of Montenegro allocated funds in the amount of about 45 thousand euros for the preparation of project documentation for the construction of the third city elementary school in Rožaje. Director of the Directorate, Almer Kalač, explained that it is a multi-million dollar project that will be implemented in phases and, due to the seriousness of the project itself and the amount of funds that will be allocated for that purpose, the construction of the building will last for the next few years.

According to the conceptual project submitted to us by the Agency for Design and Development, the modern building, which will be located on the site of the former Gornji Ibar, will be able to accommodate a thousand students in one shift. Thanks to the modern construction plan, conditions will be created for the performance of various forms of practical teaching. The building will also house gymnasiums, which will be equipped according to current European standards.

The municipality of Rožaje has been facing severe overcrowding of students in two existing city schools for years, so the local self-government recognized the need to initiate a procedure to adequately solve this problem.
