The reconstruction of the Elementary School "Mustafa Pećanin" in Rožaje is coming to an end

The start of classes for the students of the oldest educational institution in Rožaj, the municipal primary school "Mustafa Pećanin", has been postponed for seven days, due to the reconstruction of the building.

In order to convince themselves of the quality of the reconstruction, the president of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, the vice-president of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mirsad Azemović, and the secretary of finance, Armin Mujević, visited the Elementary School "Mustafa Pećanin" today.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, this school is nearing the end of the reconstruction of the building's interior, which is being implemented as part of the "Energy Efficiency Program in Public Buildings" project implemented by the Ministry of Economy, which is financed by a loan from the German Development Bank, while the exterior work will be completed. until October according to the planned dynamics and the signed contract.

This project involves the execution of works that include: installation of thermal and hydro insulation on the roof, installation of thermal insulation on the facade of the building, replacement of facade carpentry, renovation of the heating system or construction of a new one in buildings that do not have a central heating system, replacement of boilers, installation of thermal valves, replacement of lamps, reconstruction sanitary facilities, construction of sanitary facilities for people with disabilities, painting and other works - the announcement says.

The value of the reconstruction of the buildings of this school, where over 1,000 students attend classes, is over 600,000 euros.

The beginning of the school year in this educational institution is postponed to September 7, and the school management will adopt a plan for compensating lessons.
