The seventh regular session of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly was held

Members of the Rožaj parliament sat for the seventh time in this convocation, and for the first time this year. The proposed agenda consisted of 10 points. During the adoption, the proponent withdrew two points, namely: Program of investment activities for the municipality of Rožaje for the year 2019 and the Decision on amendments to the Statute of Komunalno Rožaje LLC. The first point was withdrawn by the proponent due to additional coordination with representatives of local communities, and the second, also due to coordination but with zonal provisions.
In order to improve the quality and efficiency of work, the Assembly passed the Decision on the formation of working bodies.
The councilors unanimously adopted the Decision on the co-financing of sports, although there were a lot of conflicting opinions about the way in which sports teams have been financed from the municipal budget.
DPS councilor, Merima Kalač, requested that Article 6 of this Decision, which gives the right to the President of the Municipality to, in addition to the competition for co-financing, reward successful spotters, whose results represent Rožaje in the country and the world, additionally define the criteria by which this right is acquired athletes and collectives, which is accepted.
Member of the SD, Alen Kalač, expressed his dissatisfaction with the amount of budget funds that are planned for the co-financing of sports in 2019, bearing in mind that the budget of the municipality has increased compared to the previous year, and the item for sports has been reduced. Kalač is also dissatisfied with the current way of distributing funds, pointing out that FK Ibar is favored over other sports teams.
What all discussants almost agree on is that this Decision foresees the spending of budget funds in a transparent and fairer way.
At today's session, the Assembly passed the Decision on the appointment of Amer Dacić as Secretary of the Assembly. Dacić proposed the president of the Rožaj parliament for this position, as required by law.
All councilors supported this decision.
Dacić was born on February 19, 1986 in Rožaje. He finished primary and secondary school in his hometown, and the Faculty of Law in 2006 in Podgorica. He worked in the Office of the Chief Administrator until August 17, 2018, since then he has been acting secretary of the Assembly.
Municipal President Ejup Nurković expressed his satisfaction with today's work of the Assembly.
And the President of the Municipal Assembly, Almir Avdić, is satisfied with the way and pace of work.
The councilors, among others, also passed the Decision on exemption from taxes paid on agricultural land for the year 2019.
