A workshop was held in order to present the novelties foreseen in the Agricultural Budget for 2018

 

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and local self-government, a workshop on "Milk and cheese hygiene" was organized in Rožaje.

The aim of this workshop is for farmers from Rožaj to become familiar with the novelty foreseen by the Agricultural Budget for 2018 and which is intended for farmers who process milk on

to their farms, i.e. farms that do not deliver milk to registered dairies, but process milk into cheese and cream.

Dragomir Gajo Jočić, advisor for the field of animal husbandry in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, pointed out that this measure was introduced for the first time with the aim of stimulating the production of milk and milk products, namely depending on the amount of milk processed on such farms, the subsidy amounts to 6 euros each cents per liter.

According to Jočić, this measure is very encouraging, especially for agricultural producers who are unable to deliver milk to dairies.
