PUBLIC DISCUSSION HELD ON THE DRAFT BUDGET OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROŽAJA FOR 2015
On the basis of Article 110 of the Law on Local Self-Government ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia" No. 42/03, 28/04, 75/05) Articles 2 and 8 of the Decision on the Method and Procedure of the Participation of Local Population in Performing Public Affairs (" Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia"-municipal regulations No. 12/05) The Secretariat for Finances of the Municipality of Rožaje organized a public hearing (December 17, 2014 in the small hall of the Culture Center) regarding the consideration of the Draft Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Rožaje for 2015.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković with his vice-presidents, members of the Local Assembly, local self-government officials, presidents of local communities, representatives of the NGO sector, interested citizens and media representatives contributed to the public debate. The reporter of the Draft Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Rožaje for 2015 was Kadrija Agović, in front of the finance secretariat.
The President of the Municipality emphasized that the proposed Draft Budget represents working material that received a positive assessment from the Ministry of Finance, but that it is subject to change due to amendments from the public hearing or due to the admonitions of councilor clubs, but that it represents a realistic form. "For the first time, budget users have a name and exactly indicated consumers. It will be distributed transparently and the public will have in mind how many funds the Municipality has at its disposal, what are its obligations. Unlike previous years, some costs will be reduced by 50%, and some even by 100%, this refers to the costs of fuel consumption, money for official trips, etc., and priority was given to capital investments that will benefit the citizens," emphasized Ejup Nurković. .
According to Agović, receipts and expenditures in 2015 will be 4,795,000.00 euros; the current Budget will be in the amount of 3,780,128.01 euros, and the capital Budget in the amount of 1,014,871.99. After the Public Discussion, this Draft Budget with admans will be put to a vote in the Assembly of the Municipality of Rožaje.
