MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TEAM HELD

Today, on the initiative of the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mr. Ejup Nurković, a meeting of the crisis headquarters was held, where the President's decision was unanimously adopted to declare a state of emergency, caused by heavy rainfall in the past two days. 

 

After the president's opening speech, a short video report from the field was broadcast by Rožaje television, where the alarming situation on the field was clearly shown. 

 

On the territory of the entire Municipality of Rožaje, there was an overflow of rivers from their beds, which carried everything in front of them, and on that occasion there was great material damage to the road and other infrastructure, and therefore houses and households were flooded, and one family had to be evacuated.

 

At the meeting, a decision was also made to form a commission to assess the damage caused by these disasters, and it will have the task of visiting the entire area of the Municipality of Rožaje affected by the floods within five days of the delivery of the decision and compiling detailed information on the damage caused to both households and infrastructure. (roads, passages, bridges...). 

 

The President of the Municipality, Ejup Nurković, thanked the citizens as well as all services, secretariats, directorates and the Police Department of Rožaje, who contributed to help the population and citizens who were directly affected by the floods at a crucial moment, and called for further cooperation and coordination in order to recorded all problems more easily and approached solving those problems more efficiently.

 

A special giro account has been opened for (for the repair of damages caused by natural disasters-floods) and the giro account number is: 550-650250-03, to which funds can be paid to help repair the damage caused by these disasters, amounting to several hundred thousand euros.
