The Chinese delegation is on a working visit to Rožaje

The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, received today with his colleagues the representatives of the Association of Chinese Companies headed by Hei Shiqiang, the General Director of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).

The meeting was organized at the initiative of the Chinese delegation with the aim of considering possibilities that lead to closer cooperation between Chinese companies and the municipality of Rožaj.

President Husović extended a warm welcome to the guests and expressed his willingness to cooperate on all projects of public interest.

"Rožaje is rich in natural resources. This environment has the potential for serious progress at all economic levels. The local self-government is ready to extend a hand of cooperation to all companies and social entities operating in the field of public interest." , President Husović said and noted that the Development Strategy defining the development goals of the municipality of Rožaje was recently adopted.

Hei Shiqiang, general manager of CRBS, said that he and his colleagues are pleased to be on a working visit to Rožaj because, as he noted, the Chinese embassy is trying to strengthen cooperation with municipalities in Montenegro in order to create conditions for further strengthening trade ties and realization of new investments in different development sectors.

Representatives of Rožaj local administration presented capital projects that are implemented in the territory of Rožaj. At the same time, they indicated the spheres that are suitable for potential foreign investments with a focus on the agriculture and tourism sectors.

The delegation of the People's Republic of China included Bao Shunqing, Economic and Trade Advisor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Montenegro, Liu Shijie from the Chinese Embassy, Hei Shiqiang, General Director, CRBC in Montenegro, Liu Wei, Assistant General Director of CRBC in Montenegro, Tang Zhengyan PR CRBC and Li Liyang representative of the company "IETC DOO".

The municipality of Rožaje was represented at the meeting by President Rahman Husović, Head of the President's Cabinet Emir Kuč, Chief City Architect Arbin Kalač, Secretaries Ismet Hadžić, Rusmir Džudžević and Mersad Šutković, and Director of the Municipal Directorate for Investments Armin Honsić.
