Begović hosted the President of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly
The Acting Director of the Sports and Youth Administration, Dr. Marko Begović, hosted the President of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly, Almir Avdić.
The main topic of the meeting was the necessity of comprehensive depoliticization of sports, as well as more active and concrete future cooperation of the Administration for Sports and Youth with municipalities in the north.
"The necessity of a comprehensive depoliticization of sports cannot be bypassed even at the local level, so we must use clear and concrete actions to influence the transparent and democratically oriented prosperity of the sports and youth sector in Montenegro. When it comes to the northern region, I must point out that I am not particularly satisfied with the attitude that our country had until recently towards this part of Montenegro, the consequence of which is the departure of a large number of young people from our country., and I think it is important to activate cooperation with the local self-governments that belong to that Montenegrin region. By that I also mean the creation of additional content for the youth of the mentioned part of our country. Specifically, when it comes to youth services, which until now have not been at a satisfactory level, they must reach a decent and satisfactory level for all citizens of Montenegro. As someone who is at the head of the institution that is responsible for the same, I agreed with the President of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly to find an adequate space for the youth service, as well as that the Sports and Youth Administration will find infrastructural means so that it can function.", points out dr Begovic.
The Acting Director of the Sports and Youth Administration pointed out that there is a necessity to appoint persons who will be in charge of youth policy in each of the municipalities of Montenegro, and that he has already taken steps to determine them.
The President of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly, Mr. Almir Avdić, thanked the Acting Director of the Sports and Youth Administration, Dr. Marko Begović, for the warm welcome and constructive conversation, and pointed out that Dr. Begović had a full understanding of the poor state of the sports infrastructure in their municipality, as well as the necessity of investment in the same.
”As is known, the sports infrastructure in Rožaje is not at a level that would meet even the minimum conditions for the organization of various sports competitions. Considering that Rožaje will be the host of the Sandža sports games in 2022, we found great understanding from Mr. Begović and agreed that in the coming period we will work on improving the conditions for the organization of the same. When it comes to sports infrastructure, we emphasized the need for a complete reconstruction of the athletic track in Rožaje, which we will apply to the Directorate for Sports and Youth as well as to the Government of Montenegro. What is also important is that the Administration plans to open a youth service in Rožaje in the coming period, which would be a space for creating new content for young people. In the coming period, we expect the Director of the Administration to visit our municipality and our sports organizations at the local level.", said the President of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly.
