City cleaning action "Clean your own"

On the initiative of the Manager of the Municipality of Rožaje, the campaign "Clean Your Own" was launched.

The following activities are planned as part of the action:

Street cleaning in the wider and narrower part of the city, which starts on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.

Remediation of illegal waste disposal sites in the territory of the municipality of Rožaje

The campaign envisages that the workers of the Local Administration will take an active part in this campaign by going to certain locations during working hours, as foreseen by the plan, from 14:00 to 16:00, in order to collect waste.

Development of a framework plan for remediation of illegal landfills in the rural part of the city

Creating a media campaign to raise environmental awareness

Partners in the project: DOO Municipal Enterprise, Municipal Police, Secretariat for Traffic, Road Infrastructure and Housing, DOO Vodovod, Protection Service, Secretariat for Culture and Social Activities, Secretariat for Local Communities, Center for Information Systems (CIS), Secretariat for Planning , landscaping and environmental protection.

The specific goals of this project are: Cleaning the urban and rural parts of the municipality of Rožaje and Changing the behavior of citizens through raising awareness of the importance of the environment

We use the opportunity to appeal to the NGO sector, sports clubs, youth organizations and all citizens to contribute to this action by participating.

 

Because as the name of the Clean Your Own campaign reads, they can contribute by cleaning their yards and driveways.
