Signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the Municipality of Rožaje and the Faculty of European and State Studies (FDES)

President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, on behalf of the Local Administration of Rožaje, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Municipality of Rožaje and the Faculty of European and State Studies, whose representative was prof. Đorđije Blažić, Ph.D. The goals of signing the Memorandum are the scholarship of two students from the Rožaja Local Government and one student from the FDES, as well as the organization of various trainings for the employees of the Local Government.

According to the Secretary of the Secretariat for Culture and Social Activities, Ajsel Kalač, after the request for a Memorandum was submitted by the FDES, the local administration evaluated and analyzed the work and conditions of this Faculty, as well as its ranking in Montenegro and the region, in order to determine the justification for future cooperation. .

The president of the municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, greeted those present and supported the initiative that was documented today. Explaining the belief that this Memorandum will be implemented, because it is in the interest of the municipality of Rožaje to educate and adequately train young people for future engagements.

"We have launched the initiative for this type of cooperation before, but in the previous government of the Municipality of Rožaje there was no will for it, now the conditions for joint action have been created again. FDES is one of two faculties in the former Yugoslavia that educates personnel specialized for work in state bodies and bodies whose goal is European integration. The EU is looking for specialized staff from Montenegro who will be able to monitor the processes of European integration and the achievement of high standards. The demands for this worker qualification will be greater in the future and after just membership. So far, 98% of our graduates have been employed, both in state bodies and in the private sector. The Faculty's policy is to admit a small number of students so that our staff can find employment more easily after completing their studies. We do not expect any donations from the municipality of Rožaje, but to provide scholarships for their future workers.said prof. Present at the signing of the Memorandum, the President of the Assembly of Rožaje, the Chief Administrator, local government officials, high school principals, high school teachers, interested high school students and the media were given the opportunity by the FDES manager, Ivan Radević, to hear the details of the Memorandum and to actively participate. by asking questions to the President of the municipality and representatives of FDES.
