Preparations for the 47th Sandačka Games have begun

Today, a working meeting was held as part of preparations for the 47th Sandžak Games, which will be hosted by the municipality of Rožaje at the beginning of August this year.

Suret was held at the initiative of the Sandža Games Organizing Committee headed by Almir Avdić, the current president of the Rožaje parliament, and attended by the president of the municipality of Rožaje Rahman Husović, the president and the president of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro and Serbia, Ejup Nurković and Jasmina Curić with their associates. , president and chief administrator of the municipality of Petnjica Samir Agović and Mirsad Ćatović, presidents of the municipality and SO Tutin Kenan Hot and Bajram Aljović, vice president of the municipality and director of the Sports and Recreation Institution in Sjenica Mustafa Baltić and Mirsad Hodžić, member of the Organizing Committee Husein Kurtagić, director of the Institution " Sandžačke igre" Raid Mekić, director of the regional tourism organization Sandžaka Haris Gegić, director of the Sports Association of Novi Pazar Emir Mehmedović and other members of the Sandžačke Games Organizing Committee.

During the meeting, the forms of future cooperation between the municipalities participating in the Sandžak Games and proposed measures for the promotion and popularization of that regional sports competition were determined.

The Sandža Games encourage the development of the sports, economic, tourist and cultural spheres of both the host municipality and the region, simultaneously strengthening the sportsmanship of young people, which ultimately leads to overall social development and improvement of interregional cooperation, is the main message from the meeting.

It was also pointed out that the Sandža Games during its decades of existence produced top athletes and national representatives, encouraging tolerance among young people at the same time.
The sandbox games were held for the first time in 1954 in Prijepolje and were designated as the largest amateur sports event in the whole of Europe. This sports competition in Rožaje was last held in 2004.
