The presidents of the council of local communities in the territory of the municipality of Rožaje, whose mandate has expired, gathered today in order to take over the responsibilities as part of the measures accompanying the announcement of elections for councils of local communities in the new convocation.
The Secretariat for Local Communities will monitor the implementation of this process and will provide the necessary professional, administrative and other types of support for the needs of its entire organization. The deadline for the execution of electoral actions in 24 out of 27 local communities began on October 16 and will end on November 31 of the current year.
The meeting was also attended by the mayor of the municipality, Ejup Nurković, the secretary and adviser of the Secretariat for Local Communities, Vehbija Honsić and Emir Kuč, and the secretary of the Secretariat for Planning, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, Rusmir Džudžević.
After the meeting, the President of the municipality Ejup Nurković emphasized the importance of the participation of the councils of local communities in the management of the funds available to the local self-government and emphasized that the councils of local communities are best informed about the current needs of the citizens of those areas and that from that position they can make an extraordinary contribution to improving the efficiency of the functioning of the municipal government. device.
