The Minister of Public Administration, Suzana Pribilović and her associates visited the Municipality of Rožaje today

The Minister of Public Administration, Suzana Pribilović and her associates visited the Municipality of Rožaje today, during which she met with Mayor Ejup Nurković and his associates.

Minister Pribilović expressed her satisfaction with the visit to Rožaje and pointed out that the goal is to create an efficient and economical public administration that must be oriented towards the citizen and created according to his needs. In that part, the municipal administration of Rožaj has done a lot in the previous period, but there is a lot ahead of us, because this will now be a joint work, both of Rožaj and of the Government of Montenegro, stressed Minister Pribilović. 

Mayor Nurković also expressed his belief that in the coming time frame he will be a reliable and responsible partner to the Ministry of Public Administration in the implementation of measures and activities in the process of public administration reform and highlighted the activities that the Municipality of Rožaje has implemented, i.e. those that will follow in terms of further improving the work of local self-government units and efficient service to citizens.

The meeting also discussed models for establishing more stable financing, especially for development projects in the Municipality. In that part, they agreed that it is necessary to establish a mechanism that will enable larger funds from EU pre-accession funds, and with which a good part of the problems in the city can certainly be solved.

Also, special attention is directed to open questions related to the Law on Local Self-Government.

The visit to the municipality of Rožaje is part of the tour of local self-government units in Montenegro, which the Minister of Public Administration, Suzane Pribilović, started with the capital of Cetinje and will continue with a visit to other municipalities.
