Ejup Nurković submitted his irrevocable resignation to the Assembly
At the 11th regular session of the Subština Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković submitted his irrevocable resignation from the post of municipal president. The reasons, as stated by Nurković, are of a personal nature. The President of the SO Almir Avdić noted the resignation of Nurković at the end of today's session.
There were 15 items on the agenda of today's session of the local parliament, which included information on the work of educational and long-term institutions in the territory of the municipality of Rožaje. While some councilors claimed that there are problems in the sphere of education, such as insufficiently defined criteria when evaluating students, poor conditions in which teaching takes place, and party employment, there were also opinions that a lot was invested in education and that students from Rožaj achieve outstanding results in faculties and various competitions.
It was also concluded that the status of pensioners is unfavorable primarily due to low incomes, with an appeal that models should be activated to overcome the current situation.
The report on the work of the mayor of the municipality for 2018 was also on the agenda, which was adopted by the votes of the Bosniak Party councilors. The councilors of DPS and SD abstained, while the councilor of SDP voted against the adoption of the report. The majority of councilors resented Nurković's absence from today's session, because, in their opinion, he should have defended the work report as well as the proposed Decision on The final account of the Municipal Budget, which is supported only by the votes of the councilors of BS.
Opinions were divided about the work of the Center for Social Work, but everyone agreed that we should strive for a society of social justice and equality. It was also pointed out that the data indicating the number of recipients of social assistance in the municipality of Rožaje are worrying.
The consideration and adoption of the Report on the work of the Rožaj Health Center opened the story of the staff deficit in that area in Rožaj and in the north of the country, and about other challenges in the field of providing health services to citizens.
Proposals for decisions were also adopted: on giving consent to the organization of the 47th Sandžak Sports Games for 2020; on the confirmation of the Decision on granting management and use of the site "Brezovačko brdo"; on the adoption of the sports development strategy in the municipality of Rožaje for the period 2019/2020; on the twinning of the municipality of Rožaje with the municipality of Ilidža; on the surtax on personal income tax.
The last item on the Agenda was dedicated to dismissals and appointments.
The 12th regular session will be held tomorrow, December 26, and the proposal for the Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Rožaje for 2020 will be considered and adopted, as well as the proposal for the Decision on the municipality's debt for the purpose of refinancing loan obligations.
