In 2015, the Directorate will invest 1.2 million euros in various projects

The director of the Directorate of Public Works, Žarko Živković, was on a working visit to Rožaj. In a conversation with the mayor of the municipality, Ejup Nurković, and his associates, it was said that the Directorate will invest 1.2 million euros in various infrastructure projects this year. Likewise, some multimillion-dollar projects will be started, which will be implemented in stages; which means that their construction will take several years.

President Nurković expressed his satisfaction with the fact that a good number of projects nominated by the Municipality were included in the Directorate's program for this year.
"It is certain that this year the construction of the Home for Children with Special Needs will be completed and the construction of Carine Street will continue, as soon as the weather permits. The start of construction of the Ćosovsko vrelo water supply system was also agreed upon, which should solve the problem of quality water supply for seven villages. Since it is an investment worth several million euros, it will be realized in stages. The Directorate will finance the 7 km long road to Štedim with 70%, and the local administration will finance the remaining part. Her program for this year also includes the financing of a project for the construction of a sewage collector and a system for the purification of waste water."- said Nurković.

Živković said that he has good cooperation with the Rožaj local administration and that as a result, several valuable infrastructure projects were included in the Directorate's program for this year.

"I expect that by the end of the month, work will be continued on Carine Street, an investment started last year, when about 70% of work was done. Also this year, the construction of the Ćosovsko vrelo waterworks will begin, but this work will be done in stages, since the project is worth around 1.8 million euros. The project for the construction of the road to Štedim, which should valorize the tourism potential of the municipality, has been completed and it would be realistic to expect its implementation to start in 2016. It is an investment worth around 700,000 euros. It is certain that a Home for children with special needs will be built this year, and the value of the investment is around 350,000 euros."- said Zivkovic.
He reminded that the Government allocated 300,000 euros for the preparation of the 2015/16 tourist season, and that some smaller projects in the field of traffic infrastructure that should be implemented in partnership this year were discussed with the leaders of the municipality.
