Today, a session of the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team was held during which the current epidemiological situation in Rožaje was discussed, after which the problems encountered by the competent services in the process of implementing control over the application of protection measures at the local level were recorded.
It was concluded that the citizens of Rožaj generally respect preventive health care measures, but that it is important to additionally increase the level of caution, especially when it comes to wearing protective masks.
- Those engaged in public services and institutions that are involved in the fight against the spread of the virus work actively and in a coordinated manner in order to protect citizens from infection and raise the level of awareness of each individual about the importance of preventive action during the pandemic, is one of the conclusions from the session of the Municipal Team for the Protection and rescue.
The authorities also called on citizens to adhere to all recommendations of the Commission for the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases and the Institute for Public Health, noting that there will be increased controls in order to prevent further transmission of the infection.
The central topic of the meeting was dedicated to the announced immunization of the population against the corona virus.
It was pointed out that the mass vaccination will begin on April 20 and that the employees of the Health Center, although exhausted from the hard work so far, are ready to effectively respond to that task as well.
In accordance with the requests of a large number of citizens and certain social entities, the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team, headed by President Husović, will send a request to the competent state authorities for an extension of working hours during Ramadan for all catering facilities in the territory of the Rožaj Municipality.
