On the occasion of the celebration of International Mother Language Day, a panel entitled "Bosnian language and Bosniaks - social reality and perspectives in Montenegro" was held in the gallery of the Center for Culture in Bijelo Polje, organized by the Bosniac Council in Montenegro.<\/p>\n
The moderator of the program, Professor Suljo Mustafi\u0107, said that the Bosnian language in Montenegro is a constitutional category and that the existing legislation opens the possibility for the implementation of the right to use the native language and literature of Bosniaks in education, media and public communication.<\/p>\n
Director of the Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo, Dr. Alen Kalajd\u017eija, spoke about the historical context of the use of the Bosnian language.<\/p>\n
Professor Zejnel Klimenta said that thanks to the political organization and efforts of Bosniak representatives, the Bosnian language was included in the Constitution of Montenegro, he also spoke about its application in teaching processes.<\/p>\n
Professor Dr. Sead \u0160emsovi\u0107, in front of the Bosniak National Council of Serbia, said that this institution in the last ten years has managed to implement a system of education in the Bosnian language in the territory of that country. He reminded that the Bosniaks in Serbia, within their council, managed to hold the first class of the Bosnian language in 2004.<\/p>\n

Councilor of the Bosniak National Council at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo and research associate at the Institute of Languages of the University of Sarajevo, Assoc. Dr. Jasmin Hod\u017ei\u0107, looking back on certain historical moments, concluded that the disappearance of the Bosnian language was not conditioned by linguistics but by politics.<\/p>\n

In addition to the aforementioned experts and lecturers in the field of the Bosnian language, the poet, writer, essayist and associate at the Institute of Languages, professor Had\u017eem Hajdarevi\u0107 and the director of the "Ras" museum in Novi Pazar, Dr. Fuad Ba\u0107i\u0107anin, were also present.<\/p>\n
After the forum, the representatives of the Bosniak councils of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia presented a gift of books to the president of the Bosniak council in Montenegro, Mirsad D\u017eud\u017eevi\u0107, in order to complete the library of this council with books in the Bosnian language.<\/p>\n

According to the latest census from 2011, Bosniaks are the third largest nation in Montenegro, the Bosnian language is in third place in the number of speakers, and the total number of members of this language community is 37 thousand, it was announced at the forum.<\/p>\n
