The delegation from Ro\u017eaj, led by the Vice-President of the Government of Montenegro, Mr. Rafet Husovi\u0107, stayed in the Turkish city of Duz\u0111e, which is one of the extremely developed industrial centers and is one of the leaders in terms of the number of factories, with a particularly developed wood industry. The delegation consisted of: Ejup Nurkovi\u0107, President of Ro\u017eaje Municipality, Husein Kurtagi\u0107, President of Ro\u017eaje Municipality Assembly, Jonuz Mujevi\u0107, IRF representative, E\u0161ef Husi\u0107, Secretary of the Secretariat for Urbanism, Faruk Suljevi\u0107, Vice-President of Novi Pazar, and Mirza Luboder.<\/p>\n
They were welcomed by the governor of the Duz\u0111e region, Mr. Ali Fidan, who expressed his satisfaction with the visit of friends from Montenegro and expressed the hope that this meeting will also contribute to the intensification of regional cooperation in the field of culture and economy.<\/p>\n
Pointing to the good relations between Montenegro and Turkey, Husovi\u0107 said that Turkey is becoming a strategic partner of the Balkan countries and that increasingly intensive cooperation is developing in all fields when it comes to Montenegro.<\/p>\n
"We thank Turkey for supporting Montenegro's integration into NATO. We received an invitation for membership in that alliance, and that is extremely important for all potential investees, including Turkey, who plan to invest in Montenegro. In addition to traditional, religious and kinship ties, we are also connected by bridges of economic cooperation," Husovi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n
He also spoke about the subsidies offered by the Government of Montenegro for newly created jobs and the way in which they can be applied for.<\/p>\n
The President of the Municipality of Ro\u017eaje, Mr. Ejup Nurkovi\u0107, in his presentation highlighted the potential of Ro\u017eaje, both human and natural, and invited investors to invest in our city. Nurkovi\u0107 emphasized the geographical position of Ro\u017eaj and the road infrastructure, the distance from the Port of Bar and the airport. He also informed the producers from the textile industry that this economic branch once existed in Ro\u017eaje and that one of the important factors is that there is an educated workforce for the textile industry in Ro\u017eaje, which is very important. Nurkovi\u0107 listed the industrial halls that are empty and emphasized that with certain small investments they can be put into operation.<\/p>\n
In addition to visiting the governor of the Duz\u0111e region, the delegation also visited the mayor of the municipality of the same name, Mr. Mehmed Kele\u0161, who thanked him for the visit and promised to visit Ro\u017eaje. At an exceptionally grand reception, Mr. Kele\u0161 presented the guests with gifts.<\/p>\n
On the same day, the delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce of the city of Duz\u0111e, where they were received by its president, Ismail \u010cakmak.<\/p>\n
The host of the delegation and the man who initiated the visit is Mr. Ibragim Sand\u017eakli, the owner of the respectable factory "Sancakli mobilya", which is the Turkish leader in the production of exclusive furniture with a special emphasis on the production of chairs, where it has more than 600 models in its range of products and showroom. The Sand\u017eakli family is originally from Ro\u017eaj (from the village of Ba\u010devac), whose ancestors migrated to the Republic of Turkey almost a hundred years ago. Ibrahim and Mesut Sand\u017eakli are two brothers who inherited the production from their father Muharem Sand\u017eakli. What is definitely worth emphasizing is that this respectable company, which was founded in 1958, has grown into a real brand over time and exports its products to 40 foreign countries.<\/p>\n
Brothers Sand\u017eakli, Ibrahim and Mesut and Ibrahim's son Sarper, organized a very productive visit to the textile and woodworking factories, and the meetings were very successful, and the owners of the factories will return the visit to Ro\u017eaj in order to get to know Ro\u017eaj's potential on the spot.<\/p>\n
In addition to woodworking and textile factories, the delegation also visited the Duz\u0111e industrial zone, where 5,500 workers work. By the way, the city of Duz\u0111e and its surroundings have about 500,000 inhabitants. It is located on the coast of the Black Sea and is approximately halfway between Ankara and Istanbul, at the crossroads of road and sea routes. It is rich in forest and forest products, Agriculture and animal husbandry are also very important branches of industry, including tourism.<\/p>\n
