ON ELECTIONS HELD IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In accordance with the Decision of the President of the Municipality of Ro\u017eaje, Ejup Nurkovi\u0107, on August 27, 2014, elections were announced in the local communities of the Municipality of Ro\u017eaje, for the election of local councils, as well as the election of presidents of local communities.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the election process in local communities in the municipality of Ro\u017eaje, the Secretariat for General Administration is pleased to inform citizens that the elections were held in a democratic atmosphere, where citizens had the opportunity for the first time since the introduction of the multi-party system to freely express their will and choose their legitimate representatives in local Councils at the Assembly of Citizens by public vote.<\/p>\n

That the elections are significant for the local community was proven by the great interest and presence of citizens at public assemblies, which is an indicator that the local community is the community of all citizens according to their place of residence and that it represents part of the unique system of local self-government.<\/p>\n

Out of 25 local communities, as many as the municipality of Ro\u017eaje, election activities were conducted in 22 local communities. 22 local councils were elected, as well as 22 presidents of local communities. In the local communities of Grahovo and Lu\u010dice, the Council was not re-elected, because they were recently formed as separate ones. The election of the local council in D. Lovnica was not held due to the non-fulfillment of the conditions to hold the Citizens' Assembly, it will be held when the conditions for holding it are met.<\/p>\n
